There are many local mountainous walks, and the chalet is a 5-minute walk to the lake over the road, Le Lac Bleu.

Morillon is accessible through Le Lac Bleu, too, less than a 20-minute walk, it is the closer of the two resort access points.
It is a very adventurous area, with activities for all ages and preferences including canoeing, white water rafting, mini golf, an outdoor zipline over the Lac Bleu, parapenting and climbing.

There is a weekly market, it can vary yearly but the last few years has been on Wednesday mornings with everything from local souvenirs to samples of French cuisine.

There is a swimming pool complex in the Samöens village and one slightly further afield in Les Carroz.

You can also walk to Samoens from the chalet, there are walks via Le Lac Bleu, on which you will pass picturesque views of mountains and horse-riders. In Samoens, there is a huge amount to see particularly in the centre of the village, there are often local events on.

In the garage, there are summer toys like inflatables, buckets and spades and balls to entertain the family while by the lake or at the parks. There are also a few bikes in the garage part available to use.

The bars are very ‘French-local’ and often are heated in the winter, the village is generally lively during the ski and summer seasons.
